First edition 1996, first printing in January 1997 (128 pages).
Beyond thinking and analysis of our main champions, it is good to get back to what can be likened to a Billiards treatise.
The book "Billard - Théorie du jeu" [in English : "Billiards : Theory of the Game"] certified by the Federation of French Billiards is a modern version of the Science of Billiards, mainly based on the Coriolis's book. This version corrects many mistakes of the book (see CORIOLIS errata n°2 in our Bibliography), complements and generalizes the equations in a 3D vector expression usefull to software designers.
Second edition 2004 (revised and expanded version), first printing in June 2004 (192 pages).
Second edition 2004 (updated version of June 2006), first printing in June 2006 (192 pages).
Apart from its rigour and quality, this foundation book presents a complete and modern synthesis of the Theory of Billiards, certified by the Federation of French Billiards.
Note : The updated version of June 2006 corrects 32 text pages compared to the revised and expanded version of June 2004. These corrections concern minor points (page reference, punctuation, notes addition, etc.) as well as a gross mistake on pages 155 and 173 in the following mathematical formula :
Instead of : W = (1 - t / t arrêt_translation) Wc
Read : W = ( 1 - (t - tc) / (t arrêt_translation - tc) ) Wc
